If this model is Apache 2.0, why is it gated? Tactically, it limits who is going to use it as you need to create a HF account, log in and accept the "terms". Then from a coding standpoint, a HF token needs to be provided to whatever code is accessing the model.
Meanwhile, people are just downloading DeepSeek models and using them without restrictions like this.
Honestly, it just limits who is even going to try the model.
